Only one Batam bakery publishes a full kueh lapis price list. Use it as a yardstick, and ask everyone else for the price per kilo.

Delivery goes by cargo. Order 4 to 5 days ahead, and the minimum order is 5 kg. Pick-up at Sun Li's Eunos or Keppel drop points is free, and delivery to your door costs SGD 25 (Sun Li FAQ).

Lamoist, Lapisa and others: no published price

Lamoist shows its cakes in big and small sizes on its products page but gives no prices. Its FAQ says pre-orders from the kitchen get a special price, so it is worth asking.
Lapisa says its online store is still being built and will launch soon (Lapisa shop page). No prices yet.
Lady Ann, Diana and Alya have no official website that we could find.

So if you see a Lamoist or Lapisa price in a video or a review, treat it as one person's receipt on one day, not a price list.

How to compare prices at the counter

Ask the weight. Sun Li prices per kilo. A small box at one shop may not weigh the same as a small box at another.
Ask the range. Lamoist sells several grades, from Classic to Gold. Its Premium grade uses Golden Churn butter. Compare premium with premium.
Ask for the receipt. Lamoist tells buyers to ask for a receipt with its logo. It also warns that look-alike counters exist.

Cheaper gift: banana cake

Banana cake is another popular Batam gift. Kek Pisang Villa's web address redirects to OlehOlehBatam, an online shop selling many brands, which lists Kek Pisang Original at Rp55,000 for a 25 x 10 cm cake. Blueberry is Rp60,000 and Pandan Cheese Rp62,000. You can buy it in town at Kek Pisang Villa Nagoya.
