Batam's largest temple to Mazu, the sea goddess revered by fishermen and boat owners, opened in May 2023 after ten years of building by the Lim clan association. The 23-metre, three-level hall holds a 2.3-metre Mazu statue carved from camphor wood, with dragon pillars at the gate.
